Kennedy Agyapong: Divider-in-Chief, Not Flagbearer-in-Waiting

The New Patriotic Party has seen many leaders rise, serve, and occasionally fall short — but few have done the kind of damage Kennedy Agyapong has inflicted, from within. Like Alan Kyerematen, Kennedy represents a dangerous brand of internal politics that divides more than it builds.

Alan left the Party after losing the 2023 flagbearer contest. He formed his own movement, but not before indoctrinating a faction with bitterness, entitlement, and disregard for Party unity. That toxic energy still lingers.

But Kennedy is even worse. He stayed — not to help, but to tear down from within. These are some of his tools: Blackmail, sectarian fear-mongering, propaganda, lies, and personal showmanship. He offers no message, no vision, and no moral compass to guide a great party like the NPP. He believes money equals merit and arrogance equals strength. And he incites the grassroots to rebel against the very leadership they elected — sowing chaos and calling it truth.

Let’s not forget: Kennedy Agyapong already helped the NPP lose the 2024 elections. His viral videos and campaign speeches attacking the Party, the government, and Dr. Bawumia were recycled by the NDC, word-for-word, as campaign ammunition. His false narrative that only a few were “chopping” while the rest were “hungry” created deep apathy and disaffection within our base. He weakened morale, broke trust, and left many supporters sitting out the election. That betrayal earned him 37% in the 2023 primaries — but it cost the Party far more.

This is not leadership. This is sabotage dressed in designer suits and disguised as “bravery.”

Kennedy Agyapong is not running for Ghana. He’s not even running for the NPP. He’s running for himself — and the endgame is to weaken the NPP further so the NDC wins again.

Delegates must not fall for noise without a plan, anger without accountability, or money without mission. We’ve seen this movie before — and we lost.
Let’s not repeat it.
