A group known as the Liberal Democratic Youth Association has welcomed the intention of Dr Charles Dwamenah, also known as Dr China, to contest for the position of General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party.

The group indicated in an interview with the voiceless media that Dr. Dwamena had excelled as the National Treasurer of the NPP and also gained enormous experience in Finanace and Administration and can therefore make a good General Secretary of the NPP.

The leader of the group Hon Kwabena Osei Opong expressed happiness that many other  dedicated members of the NPP have expressed interest to contest various positions in the NPP and said  that it was  a sign of expression of confidence in the NPP and also shows that the party is attractive. 

Dr Charles Dwamena had previously told the Voiceless media that plans were far advanced for him to present his vision and mission for the NPP and to formally make an emphatic claim to the position of General Secretary of the NPP soon.

Known for his insistence on the right procedures and his firm nature, Dr. Dwamena brought several innovations to the NPP in the areas of its dues payments, which has increased dues of  members satisfatorily. 

It is anticipated that when he is elected as the General Secretary of the NPP, he will bring lots of innovations to bear on the job, which would increase to the benefit of members.
