Have you read about the 1979-1981 hostage crisis in Iran?

In November 1979, 66 American citizens and diplomats were taken hostage at the US embassy in Tehran.

52 of the hostages were held until January 1981.

The US has consistently accused Iran of human right abuses?

The US has constantly without  prove alleges that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, etc. 

The US attributes its worsinng relationship with Iran to the issues discussed above.

Iran has always denied having nuclear weapons.

The IAEA says in September, 2025 report that it has little or no information about Iran’s nuclear material stockpiles or nuclear sites. 

You will recall that in June 2025 President Trump said the US has “obliterated Iran’s nuclear program very quickly and very powerfully”

US and Iranian officials held talks on Monday in Geneva, Switzerland.

Negotiators from both countries wrapped up the third round of inuclear talks in Geneva, Switzerland. 

Talks were scheduled to resume in Vienna, Austria on Monday.

On Thursday, Trump said he was not happy with the negotiations led by his trusted friend Steve Witkoff, US special Envoy to the Middle East.

Tehran says that “important” and “practical” proposals were advanced during negotiations Iran’s nuclear last week. 

And then last night Trump took the world by surprise, violated international law and without approval of US Congress collaborated with Israel to lunch a major military attack on Iran.

Trump is a regular violator of IL.
