Dr Dwamena (Dr. China), as National Treasurer, has brought about  innovations and ideas that have increased  the internal income generation channels of the NPP.

Some of his interventions are listed below:

1. He has increased transparency and accountability in the Party’s finances 

2. ⁠He has demonstrated and institutionalized financial discipline in the Party

3. ⁠He has revolutionized the dues and donation payments through innovative technology and made it very convenient for members to pay dues from the comfort of their homes through the short code *920*270# 

4. ⁠Under his watch, all those who support the Party financially are appreciated and recognized through structured programs such as the Time with the Patrons.

5. ⁠Under his leadership, the Party’s ability to generate revenue organically has grown from less than  GHS 100 per month to over GHS 11,000 per day.

6. ⁠Under his leadership, the Treasury, through the Finance Committee, has recommended for implementation a major welfare policy, which is also a revenue catalyst - the *Group Accident Insurance Policy for all Party Members*

7. ⁠The Group Accident Insurance Policy, when implemented, will take care of:

A. *Accidental death* of a member where the next of kin of the deceased member shall benefit from up to *GHS 100,000.00*

B. *Permanent disablement*: where a member who loses a body part as a result of an accident shall benefit from up to *GHS 100,000.00*

C. *Temporal Disablement*: where a member who is unable to work due to a temporal loss of use of a body part as a result of an accident (eg broken leg) will benefit from a *weekly allowance of up to GHS 1900.00*

D. *Accident Medical Cover* where a member who gets involved in an accident will benefit from up to *GHS 10,000* to cover medical expenses. 

8. The Group Accident Insurance Policy covers all kinds of accidents both those encountered during party work and those encountered during non- party work.

9. ⁠Under Dr China’s leadership, the Treasury working through the Finance Committee has recommended for implementation feasible proposals that can enable the Party to raise over *GHS 20 million each month*, even in opposition

10. ⁠Dr China continues to engage the leadership of the *National Secretariat* to speed up the launch of the Finance Committee approved recommendations that can enable the Party to raise over *GHS 20 million organically each month*.

From the above, it is safe to conclude that Dr Charles Dwamena excelled as the National Treasurer of the NPP and came out with internal fund generation mechanism, which has been unprecedented in the Party. 

It is therefore refreshing that he is moving up to another responsibility as General Secretary, of which he has a clear vision for the party, which can give the NPP victory in 2028.
