Dr Charles Dwamena (Dr China), who is currently eyeing the position of General Secretary of the NPP, has a diverse professional and academic career. 

He is a medical doctor by training. He is also a  teacher, a politician, a diplomat, a business administrator, and an entrepreneur.  

It is the belief by many that when he is elected as the General Secretary of the NPP, he can bring his diverse experiences to bear on the fortunes of the NPP. 

Academic Journey of Dr Charles Dwamena

He has a Bachelor of Surgery ( MBBS) from Wenzhou University.

MSc in Clinical Sciences  ( Otolarynology- ENT) from Plymouth University.

Dr Charles Dwamena also has an MBA in Leadership and Suistanability from the University of Cumbria

The General Secretary aspirant also has a teaching certificate (CELTA)  from Cambridge University. 

He also  has several other certificates in short courses bordering on c  management and peace bullying.  

Leadership positions in politics

He is currently the National Treasurer of the NPP. A position he has held successfully and brought to the job some innovations for the payment of dues and others. 

He previously worked as the Director of Finance and Administration of the NPP at the party Headquaters. 

He was the NPP Brach Chairman for China, having earlier served as a foundation member of the China Branch. 

Deputy Ambassador to China under the Presidency of Nana Addo.

From the above brief profile, it is absolutely safe to state that Dr. Charles Dwamena has the theoretical and practical experience needed  to serve as the General Secretary of the NPP. 

His multifaceted background would be an asset to the NPP when he gets the nod.
