A former Regional Minister for Upper West and East Regions, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, was in Accra to formally congratulate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his election as Flagbearer of the NPP towards election 2028

Speaking to the Voiceless Media at the Tse Addo private residence of the former Vice President, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih described the former Vice President as a man of great humility and ideas that has endeared him to all including him. 

He told the Voiceless Media that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was his godfather, and he was ready and available to contribute his best towards the victory of the NPP in election 2028.

Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, who was once the Upper West Regional Secretary of the NPP, appealed to NPP folks to put the January 31, 2026 NPP presidential primary  behind them and begin to work towards the victory of the party.

Dr Hiafiz Bin Salih used  the opportunity to chastise the NDC for their failure to manage what he described as a simple constituency parliamentary primaries and explained that it was a reflection of their lack of ideas to manage the country.
