In the coming days, the National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party will announce a calendar of activities leading to elections of Party executives across the organisational structure of the Party - Polling Station, Electoral Area, Constiruency, Regional and National. 

The entirety of Article 5 discusses the STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION of the Party. 

You may also look at articles 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 for a comprehensive appreciation of how our party is structured and organised. 

All officers (Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Executives, Constitutency Executives, Regional Executives and National Executives) of the Party shall hold office for 4 years and may seek re-election. 

Constitutionally, no election can be held until the tenure of the current executives expire. Also, holding an office beyond the authorized term limit is an affront to the constitution.

The letter and spirit of Article 5 is unambiguous! The organization or reorganisation (elections) shall begin at the polling stations. 

What this means is that, the upcoming internal elections MUST start from the Polling station right up to National as prescribed by the constitution. 

Speculations that, the internal process to elect our executives across board will start from the National to the polling station should be disregarded. Such a decision will be a spectacular breach of the NPP constitution.
