A former Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale North constituencyof the Northern Region, Chief  Akilu Sayibu, has met electoral Area Coordinators of the NPP of the  Tamale North constituency at his private residence in Tamale  ahead of the presidential primaries of the NPP slated for January 31st, 2026.

Speaking to the Electoral Area Coordinators from all 11 Electoral Areas of the constituency,  Chief Akilu Sayibu urged them to intensify their campaigns for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at their various Electoral Areas to consolidate the victory of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday as he was the very best for election 2028. 

Hon Akilu Sayibu encouraged them to continue their  sacrifices for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and told them that whatever benefit there is for any member of the party, that benefit will come in God's own time. 

The former parliamentary candidate who was also a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, used the opportunity to taut the leadership attributes of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia  and his contributions to the NPP and Ghana both in opposition and in  government including his rich experience as some of the factors that places him over and above the other candidates.

Speaking on behalf of the Electoral Area Coordinators,  Mr Adam Amin, used the opportunity to thank Hon Akilu Sayibu for  some jobs and school admissions  he got for some of the constituency officers of Tamale North and assured him that they will vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday.
