26 former MMDCEs in the Upper East Region have endorsed Dr Bawumia Bawumia as their best bet for election 2028 ahead of the NPP presidential primaries slated for  January 31, 2026.

In an endorsement conversation with the Voiceless Media, the MMDCEs explained that it was only natural for the NPP to present Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for election 2028 because he was already well marketed and stands tall among the rest. 

The 26MMDCEs are:

6. Hon.Amadu Hamza Former  MCE Bawku Municipal. 

7. Hon. Abdullai Zubeiru Former DCE Pusiga

8. Hon. Paul Abugri Former DCE Tempane

9. Hon.Anabida Issaka Former DCE Tempane

10. Hon.Emmanuel Asore Former DCE Garu

11. Hon.Musah Osman Former DCE Garu

12. Hon. Ali Haruna Former DCE Garu

13. Hon. Peter Ayinbisa Former  DCE for Bongo 

14. Hon.Rita Atanga Former DCE Bongo

It must be explained clearly that the above list is made up of MMDCEs who served under President Kufour and President Nana Addo.
