My attention has been drawn to a publication made by the Chronicle Newspaper with a headline "DOMBO FAMILY BACKS BRYAN" with a picture accompanying the statement where I appeared with the Constituency Organiser and Bryan's Coordinator in Wa Central, Daubile Alhassan Ibrahim and Mohammed Abdul Safiu, Deputy Nasara Coordinator presenting a smock to Dr Bryan Acheampong.

In this era of disinformation and misinformation, it is important that I set the record straight since the Dombo family may see this as impersonation of their family.

I wish to respond as follows:

1. I, Osman Abdul-Hamid, am the Wa Central Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party and not a family member of the Dombo Family as alleged in the said publication.

2. The venue for the picture shown on the paper was Wa Technical Institute, where Dr Bryan Acheampong and his campaign team had an engagement with the Constituency delegates from Wa Central Constituency. 

3. The presentation was done by Daubile Alhassan Ibrahim, who has publicly made it known that he associates with Dr Bryan Acheampong in the run-up to the NPP presidential primaries scheduled on January 31, 2026 and has since held himself as Bryan's campaign coordinator in Wa Central. The Constituency Organiser, Daubile Alhassan Ibrahim came up to me and pleaded that he wanted me as the Constituency Chairman to assist him in presenting a smock to Dr Bryan Acheampong and at no point did he disclose that it was a sign of an endorsement for his bid since such hampers for visitors to the region are not novel.

4. As the Constituency Chairman, I have a responsibility to welcome every aspirant into the constituency, and that can not be equated to an endorsement of Dr Bryan Acheampong's bid when he visited the Constituency. 

I dissociate myself completely from the publication and also entreat every well-meaning person to treat the publication with the contempt that it deserves as it is misleading and mischievous.
