The Member of Parliament for Karaga Dr Mohammed Adam Amin (Anta)  has stated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was the most marketed candidate amongst the other presidential primaries aspirants of the NPP and is well prepared to secure power for the NPP in election 2028 and should be voted for by the delegates on January 31.

Speaking on the AM Show on Joy News on 7th January 2026, the former Finance Minister,  tauted the rich ideas Dr Bawumia championed during the tenure of the NPP which  has inured to the benefits of mother Ghana. 

He mentioned the mobile money interoperability and the gold for oil program as examples.

Dr Amin Adam further explained his knowledge of the other aspirants, saying that they were all good, but Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was the best for the NPP at this time.

The Karaga MP reiterated the point that all Presidential Candidates of the NPP were not successful in their first attempt but were not abandoned to make the case that Dr Bawumia was deserving of another chance. 

On the economy, the former   Finance Minister explained that the NDC was not doing any magic but standing on a solid foundation that the NPP laid but was not reelected in 2024 to continue their good works. 

 He admonished the NDC not to shy away from giving the government of the NPP the necessary credit where necessary. 

On the 24-hour economy policy by the NDC, which was much talked about during the 2024 campaign season,  Dr Mohammed Adam Amin indicated that nothing practicable was been done about it and described it as a disappointment. 

Dr Mohammed Adam Amin used the occasion to appeal to the NPP delegates to vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on January 31, 2026, to bring his experience and rich ideas to the benefit of Ghana.
