After thorough engagements and what I can confidently call an objective re-evaluation, that exposed me to real experiences many real people have had with him, I have accepted an invitation to support and work along like-minded progressive minds, consolidating gains, to help H.E. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia lead the NPP in the upcoming delegates election and ultimately, Ghana.

Indeed, these private engagements have exposed me to the excellency of the man grossly misunderstood and hence unjustly vilified for events and decisions in the last NPP government I can confidently say, he knew nothing about. As a matter of fact, the results of the ideas he was responsible for while in Government; those he pursued for structural reforms and efficiency in our lives as Vice President, continue to yield considerably good fruits to accelerate our development. Here in Ghana now, it is almost impossible to live and go about any formal business without employing the help of any of Dr Bawumia’s initiatives. That is a leader whose brain power and all encompassing ideas cannot and must not be shelved if the NPP would position itself as that most credible tradition to move Ghana forward.

People, look, I see through the illusions of the politics of sentimental arguments now. That unfortunate order of the Ghanaian political rhetorics that cause us to trade credible vanguards of our development we have not carefully considered and closely known, for the convenience of popularism and sometimes sadly, the whims and caprices of the loud and deceptive and their investments into optics over substance.

The scales have fallen off my eyes. The veil that so concealed a good and faithful patriot of the NPP and that illustrious son of Ghana, from receiving the Goodwill and approvals due him, has been broken.

You all know my manner of life as a seeker for truth. Truth even when it means I should go against popular propositions and stand alone. That drive got me to delve into deep thoughts and personal information gathering on all candidates seeking to lead the party and the NPP. This has been a fulfilling journey as I received testimonies and sincere assessments of all candidates.

In particular, factors like Technical Competence, Love and Sincere Commitment to the Ghanaian Development Aspiration, Loyalty to Followers, International Credibility, Utility and Relatability of Ideas, Affinity to Unity and Humility formed the basis for the assessment. It emerged clearly that H.E. Dr Bawumia stands tall amongst all the other great men seeking to lead the NPP.

Let me dedicate the next few chapters to throw more lights on why our delegates must choose the man!

First, in spite of being the most vilified candidate in the NPP’s presidential race, Dr. Bawumia has consistently demonstrated a focus on policy over polemics. He has elevated political discourse; grounding his campaign in substantive, forward-thinking ideas that address Ghana’s real challenges. An approach Ghana needs to move from rhetoric to results.

Second, his conscientious and consistent conduct, marked by a warm and respectful embrace of every sect of our society, especially the needy and marginalized, reveals a leader of profound empathy and integrity. This ability to engage without guile, positions him as a unifying figure capable of healing divisions within the New Patriotic Party and the nation at large, and he is deserving of our very best efforts and support.

Third, beyond his notable domestic contributions, Dr. Bawumia has also earned recognition globally for his digital advocacy and economic insights. His thought leadership, including keynote addresses at the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations, reflects a depth of understanding and a capacity to position Ghana competitively in a rapidly evolving world. This global regard reinforces my confidence in his ability to steward Ghana with both vision and competence.

Finally, Dr. Bawumia possesses a distinct intellectual rigor and a strong affinity for research, data, and evidence-based dialogue. This is a critical leadership quality for the task ahead. The NPP needs a leader with an excellent grasp of issues by his training and experience, to rigorously demand full accountability from the Mahama government; exposing its inconsistencies not with rhetoric, but with sound and technical depth, solid communication, and irrefutable facts.
His capacity for intelligent, fact-driven conversation equips him to dismantle propaganda, challenge false narratives, and present a clear, truthful alternative to the Ghanaian people.

I remain unwavering in my belief that the New Patriotic Party is Ghana’s best bet for socio-economic transformation and with the current options available to the party, I am convinced Dr Bawumia really, is the best to lead
