The NPP constituency chairman for the Yunyoo constituency of the North East Region, Mr Baba Nakoja says his declaration of support for Dr Bryan Acheampong when he visited the Yunyoo constituency was a decoy and done just to welcome the former Agric Minister and nothing else.  

As a constituency chairman, I made such a declaration to show that Bryan was welcome to the constituency, but I am actually a campaign team member for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the North East Region. Chairman Baba Nakoja explained.

Dr Bawumia is to get 100% in the Yunyoo constituency.  We have already taken that decision because we believe he is the best. Chairman Nakoja added. 

The Yunyoo constituency chairman used the opportunity to also officially reverse that declaration and to apologise to all and sundry for his expensive political joke. 

The Yunyoo Chairman made it emphatic that he can never ever betray Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP and   only miscommunicated by that declaration, which he has since  reversed. 

Many political watchers were already  suspicious about the declaration, and this latest reversal has put  everything to rest.
