On Wednesday, 17th December 2025, I had the honor of joining the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing, Director-General, Technical, COP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba, Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Francis K. Yiribaare, DCOP Prince Gariel Waabu, DCOP Nii Lomotey, and the esteemed Chiefs and People of the Upper West Region for the commissioning of the Regional Police Headquarters in Wa.

The facility, initiated during the tenure of IGP Alhassan, had been stalled for a considerable period until IGP Dr. Dampare allocated funds to revive the project. As a former Upper West Regional Minister, I had the opportunity to engage with him on several occasions, and I commend his dedication to seeing this project through to completion.

It's disheartening to note that our society often overlooks and underappreciates the contributions of individuals, groups, and governments. We frequently allow partisan politics and personal interests to cloud our judgment, neglecting to acknowledge the positive impact of others. However, I commend the Minister for the Interior for acknowledging the contribution of the Akufo-Addo government in the execution of this particular project.
