The Voiceless Media—one of the most credible and reliable newspapers across the five Northern Regions—has, in its Monday, 15th September 2025 edition, confirmed that one of Dagbon’s illustrious sons, Ambassador Alhaji Mohammed Habib Tijani, will be contesting the Northern Regional NPP Chairmanship.

This development has been received with great joy and relief. After eight years of political stagnation under a clique that drained the region of its past glory, the Northern Region is set to rise again.

Ambassador Habib Tijani’s political and public service journey speaks for itself: from Constituency Secretary, to Municipal Chief Executive, to Member of Parliament for Yendi, and most recently, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Throughout his career, he has been guided by enduring values: honesty, integrity, humility, compassion, courage, discipline, loyalty, and a strong sense of purpose. His record remains untainted, his leadership inspiring, and his moral standing unquestioned.

As a man fluent in Arabic and English, he combines political experience with cultural and spiritual depth. It is no coincidence that he was entrusted with representing Ghana in the Holy Land. Ambassador Habib Tijani offers the Northern Region a leader of conviction and a symbol of dignity who can restore confidence, unite the party base, and project the region beyond Ghana to the wider world.

When the time comes, let us stand firmly together and vote decisively to entrust him with the mandate to lead our region in honesty and service.
