NDC’s Curse: Why Their Fury Seals Bawumia’s Presidency

In Ghana’s Fourth Republic, a prophetic pattern has never failed: The NPP presidential aspirant most viciously hunted by the NDC always ascends the presidency. Their fury is not a weapon. It is a curse against themselves. And that curse has never broken.
In 1996, John Agyekum Kuffuor was their target. They mocked Kotoko’s defeats under his chairmanship, paraded his collapsed bricks factory at Nkawie, dismissed him as dull, unfit to lead. He lost that year, but by 2000, destiny crowned him. The man they despised delivered a presidency still unmatched.
Then came Nana Akufo-Addo. The attacks against him were ballistic, a campaign of venom and character assassination: a “drug addict,” “fake lawyer,” “arrogant,” “warmonger.” While the NDC was savaging Akufo-Addo, their praise went went to his rival, Alan Kyerematen, whom they projected as a “better alternative.” But the prophecy held: Akufo-Addo, the object of their vitriol, became president in a landslide. Alan, their "best boy," vanished into irrelevance.
Now, the spotlight of the the prophetic curse strikes Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia: “Bawuliar,” “phoney PhD,” they mock his faith and sneered at his intellect. These are, but not just, attacks. They are omens. It's a seal of prophecy. And in a stunning display of historical irony, the NDC’S affection has now shifted to Kennedy Agyapong, just as it once did for Alan. Kennedy Agyapong, once an antagonist in their eyes, is suddenly their darling! Their media outlets and bloggers ceased the attacks and are now championing his cause. Praise from the NDC is not a blessing; it is a political kiss of death.
By this unbroken law of destiny, by this ritual of fury and failure, the NDC has already written Bawumia’s victory in fire. 2028 is not a contest. It is prophecy fulfilled.
