Something I observed at the conference yesterday

If you become an MP, minister, DCE, CEO, or any other appointee , don't abandon your old friends.
Don't let your position deceive you to think that you are a special human being more than others.
I was at the conference with some former ministers, CEOs, DCEs, MPs, and others. Some of them looked confused.
The former MPs in particular couldn't sit at where their former colleagues sat. If they sat there at all, they were intruders.
Some former MPs had no car passed, so they were arguing with security over entrance. This was avoidable
I drove to Ecobank at UG to park my car. I knew my position even before I set off from my location.
Some former MPs and other appointees were roaming the stadium like Alice in Wonderland.
Some were laughing indiscriminately without anything to laugh about.
Some were greeting virtually everyone, including empty seats.
They are adjusting to their real positions now with confusion.
When you become an MP, a minister, or CEO, don't forget where you came from. Don't forget your old friends.
Don't assume artificial arrogance and pomposity. Be humble.
Just be you. It will be easy to adjust if you don't put yourself at a level that makes coming down to the reality easy.
A word to the wise is enough.
