In the aftermath of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s defeat in the December 7, 2024, general elections, a resounding message has echoed throughout the party: the NPP needs renewed, results-driven leadership that understands both grassroots and national political dynamics. Against this backdrop, Hon. Sylvester Tetteh emerges as a beacon of hope and strategic leadership for the NPP's future.

*A Proven Political Veteran*  

With over 32 years of political experience, Hon. Sylvester Tetteh is a proven political veteran. His deep understanding of the NPP's inner workings and consistent dedication to service, strategy, and results at every level make him a reassuring choice for the party's future.

He began his political career as a Polling Station Chairman, where he mobilized grassroots support and built strong local networks for the party. His commitment to youth empowerment was evident when he served as the TESCON President at Regent University, effectively guiding student activism and nurturing future party loyalists. 

In 2009, he became the Constituency Secretary for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, overseeing administrative activities and driving local organizational efforts. Hon. Tetteh's electoral journey includes serving as a Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram in the 2012 and 2016 elections, showcasing his enduring commitment to serving his community.

His work as Regional Campaign Manager in 2018 for the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Divine Otoo Agorhom, demonstrated his strategic prowess, energy, and effective coordination, culminating in a successful election. Building on that momentum, he also served as the National Chairman’s Campaign Manager during the same year, where his efforts in grassroots mobilization and strategic planning led to a resounding victory Hon Fredy Blay.

He has been an active voice within the National Communications Team and a member of the National Council from 2018 to 2022, influencing party-wide decisions and policies. His roles on the National Organizational Committee from 2019 to 2022 and as Head of the Regional Election Task Force underscore his mobilization and policy articulation capability.

*Governance Experience*  

Beyond party structures, Hon. Tetteh has gained extensive governance experience. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority from 2019 to 2020, where he implemented youth empowerment initiatives and programs for the good of Ghana's youth. Additionally, he has been a Board Member of the Greater Accra Regional Lands Commission and the Youth Employment Agency and was part of the Presidential Awards Committee.

*Parliamentary Roles*  

In 2020, the good people of Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro allowed him to serve as their Member of Parliament from 2020 to 2024, and he served them well. Hon. Tetteh also served on key parliamentary committees that shape national policies and ensure good governance. His roles on the Local Government Committee, the Finance Committee, and as Vice Chairman of the Communication Committee highlight his advocacy for reforms that affect citizens at the grassroots level.
