And who said we lost the 2024 election because Dr. Bawumia is a Muslim? That’s not only a lame excuse but one that reflects intellectual laziness.

In fact, the “Muslim” Presidential Candidate (Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia) outperformed several “Christian” Parliamentary Candidates across many constituencies. Was Prof. Adu Boahen, a Muslim when he lost in 1992? Was H.E. J. A. Kufuor, a Muslim, when he lost in 1996? Was H.E. Prof. J.E.A. Mills a Muslim when he lost in 2000? Was H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, a Muslim when he lost in 2008? And was H.E. John Mahama, a Muslim, when he lost in 2016? I guess the Cambridge Africa Business Network also invited DMB as a distinguished speaker because he is a Muslim!

Let’s be real; no political party in Ghana has ever broken the 8-year cycle in the Fourth Republic. That is precisely why Breaking the Eight became a rallying call throughout the 2024 campaign.

The truth is, Dr. Bawumia’s track record, humility, brilliance, and unmatched dedication to service remain his greatest assets. I am confident that these same qualities will not only carry him through the next primaries but will also lead him to a historic victory in the next general elections.
