Is it surprising to hear Dr. Bawumia speaks candidly about why the NPP performed poorly in the recent elections?

Not at all. In fact, it's refreshing. Leadership begins with honesty—especially when it involves acknowledging missteps and learning from them.

Yes, he’s spoken about decisions that may have hurt the party’s fortunes. And yes, he’s using data—not speculation—to challenge the outdated notion that Ghana isn't ready for a Muslim president. This is not just about religion; it’s about progress, substance, and vision.

To me, Dr. Bawumia is not just defending his worth—he’s clarifying the confusion surrounding his place in Ghana’s future. He's making a case not just for himself but for a leadership style grounded in ideas, bold reforms, and real transformation.

Let’s be honest: The NPP must return to power—not out of entitlement, but because it has often presented stronger policy directions to move this nation forward. But returning to power should never mean we present just anybody. It must be someone with the intellect, clarity, and courage to lift Ghanaians out of poverty and into prosperity.

We’ve seen Bawumia lead groundbreaking initiatives during the NPP’s 8-year run—policies that were not just timely but visionary. Some of the most forward-thinking reforms bore his signature. So why not give him another shot?

Let’s remember our own political history:

Apart from Adu Boahen, every NPP flagbearer has had the chance to go to battle more than once—President Kufuor, President Akufo-Addo. Why change the rules for Bawumia?

In politics, consistency is not weakness—it’s wisdom.

You don’t discard what you've built, invested in, and marketed. Even President John Mahama, after a heavy defeat, came back stronger—because consistency created belief.

Let’s not lose sight of the bigger picture. Let’s not trade strategy for sentiment.

A word to the wise… let’s stay the course." Ghana deserves
