The Voiceless media can confirm that the following party members are lacing their boots to contest for  the position of the chairman ship of the NPP in the Northern Region when nominations are opened.  

1. Chairman  Baantima Adam  Samba is currently the incumbent Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP.  

He had given an indication that he would not be contesting after his second term.  His decision to seek a third term mandate has therefore come to many as a surprised. 

2. Chairman Iddrisu  Sunday is the First Vice Regional Chairman of the NPP.  He had announced his intention for the position of Regional Chairman of the NPP in the last  regional contest but had to pull out and went into an informal agreement to support Chairman Samba to seek a second term mandate and thereafter will throw  his support behind him to also contest. 

 It looks like Chairman Samba has reneged on that arrangement and will be contesting for the third term.

3. Rashid Salifu  C O.P. is currently the regional organizer of the NPP in the Northern Region.

 He has declined to either confirm or deny that he was going to contest his boss Samba when the Voiceless media reached out to him on WhatsApp.  But the Voiceless Media can confirm that some persons  who were previously supporting Chairman Samba have urged Rashid Salifu to contest, promising him of their support and sponsorship. 

4. Alhaji Inusah Dagomba Boy  last contested for the chairmanship slot and was second.  Sources close to him who have spoken to the Voiceless Media have confirmed that he will be contesting for the second time. 

5. Hon Salifu Saeed, aka you can be sure, was a former DCE for Bimbila and a former Northern Regional Minister.

 He enjoys some support from the youth and some big wigs.  

He told the Voiceless Media that they were calls on him to contest, and he was consulting.  Our conclusion is that he will contest. 

There are some 2 names also making the rounds that they will be contesting.

The Voiceless Media has not been able to have a conversation with them yet and can't feature them in this story.
