The outcome of the 26th August special delegates congress has send a very strong signal to the Campaign team of Hon. Alan Kyeremanten. The outcome of the super delegates elections was a clear rejection of the so called Adrumeso mantra.
Why should a candidate in a contest claim possession of the position he is contesting. Contesting an election and losing on countless number of times thus not make you the next in line in subsequent elections. The mantra has no proper legs to stand on. It is only standing on Alan's three times failed attempt at the 'flagbearership' position. The Adrumeso mantra angers delegates so I was personally not surprised at the outcome of the results.
If it is indeed true by law or convention that it is your turn why then will all the Sixteen regions including your home region reject you.
Why is Alan and his team trying so hard to find excuses to boycott the November election? Is it an admission of defeat? The attempt by Alan and his team to center their dissatisfaction on the single incident that occurred in the North East region is very unfortunate and disappointing. In as much as I condemn the unfortunate incident I strongly believe that single incident should not cause any candidate to withdraw or cry foul of the process.
Hon. Alan Kyeremanten should stop attaching emotions to this contest and again he should stop seeing the leadership of the party as his birthright else he will take a wrong decision that will not help his political ambition going forward.
Now, how is Alan going to win the November contest knowing very well that their two major campaign message *ie. Adrumeso and the Ashantifuo will not vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia message* has no chances in the November election. It is very clear from the outcome of the super delegates elections that it is the Ashanti region that is bringing Dr. Bawumia to clear the NDC's false claim that the NPP is an Akan party to the extent that Former President, Mahama says the party will use and dumb Dr. Bawumia.
The truth is that , Alan and his team now know from the super delegates election that he Alan has no chances of winning the November contest and might be heavily disgraced if he is to proceed to contest the November election.
Alan can not win but he should stay and lose after all that will not be his first time of losing a flagbearer contest. Even if he insists on withdrawing from the contest he should do that in good faith and not with emotions so that he will be forever be remembered.
Thank you.
