“There is no place like home; home sweet home; when I go south, west, east and north, I will always come back home”- Evi Edna Ogholi

Coming to the land of your birth always evokes nostalgic feelings. Northern region is the land of my birth. Everything that I am is attributable to the spirit of northern region, the land of warriors and conquerors. And so, I came back home, not only to campaign but to imbibe the spirit of Toha Zie (The Red Hunter), that it may guide me as I sprint towards the finish line in Kumasi.

In the northern region, they don’t just make platform commitments of support, they show it. I am grateful for the overwhelming show of support. From Bimbilla through Yendi to Tamale, there was euphoria. There was clear recognition that this party needs the warrior spirit of Toha Zie to succeed in 2028. Their message to me was clear- “you are a descendant of the great Zobzia (Red Hair) of Gambaga. You carry in you the spirit of Toha Zie. Go forth as we stand by you to make you a warrior for Bawumia in 2028.”

Mma bihi, (children of my mother), I hear you loud and clear. I shall not disappoint. Victory is a week away and I shall vindicate your trust. Npuusiya! Nawuni ni song!
