On Saturday, 397, delegates of the NPP from the Northern Region will gather to elect a regional chairman to steer the affairs of the NPP in the Northern Region for another 4 year term of office.
This has generated sufficient interest on social media and also the traditional media.
The Voiceless Media Research Group also took an interest in the impending conference and has done research on who was likely to be voted as the next regional chairman of the NPP in the Northern Region.
May we state that the 397 delegates were polled by researchers on who they will vote for on Saturday.
We have the results, but let's discuss the Northern Region briefly.
*Introduction*
The Northern Region is made up of 18 constituencies, and for the purpose of this research and accuracy, we are going to publish the number of delegates who will be voting and where they are coming from.
*The voters register for the Northern Region*
According to the voter's register that would be used on Saturday , the following delegates shall be voting:
1. Members of Parliament = 6
2. Foundation Members= 4
3. Regional Representative to the National Council= 1
4. Regional Council of Elders = 10
5. Regional Council of Patrons 10
6. Regional Executives 16 ( The Regional Nasara Coordinator was suspended it should have been 17)
7. Tescons Representatives= 21
8. Kpandai constituency= 19
9. Wulensi constituency = 18 ( The constituency treasurer died recently it should have been 19)
10. Yendi = 17 ( Constituency elections were not held in Yendi, so the old executives are being used. It should have been 19)

12. Tatale=19
13. Zabzugu=19
14. Mion= 18 ( The Mion constituency Chairman resigned recently)
15. Gushegu = 19
16. Karaga= 19
17. Nanton= 19
18. Savelugu= 11 ( There is dispute over the appointed executives list, so it has been excluded. Otherwise, Savelugu would have been 19, too)
19. Kunbungu = 19
20. Tolon 18= (The constituency Organiser is out of the jurisdiction)
21. Sagnarigu constituency = 19
22. Tamale North 19

24. Tamale South = 19
25. Bimbila constituency 19
Total number of delegates = 397
There are 4 contestants for the position of Regional Chairmanship. They are:
1. Chairman Baantima Adam Samba is the incumbent regional chairman. He is finishing his second term as Regional Chairman and asking for the renewal of his mandate for the third time.
2. Alhaji Inusah Amadu Dagomba Boy is contesting for the Regional Chairmanship for the third time. He previously served as a constituency chairman for the Yendi constituency.
3. Alhaji Fuseini Musah, popularly known as Fuzzy Generator, is a businessman and politician. He was the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale South constituency in 2024.
4. Alhaji Abdul- Moomin Salifu is a businessman and politician. In the last Regional Elections of the NPP, he contested for the position of Regional Youth Organiser but was not successful.
*Our findings*
We had deliberate interactions with the delegates directly and indirectly.
In some cases, we used their caucuses and also their friends. Where we needed to have used Personal Assistants we did.
We also deployed the godfather and sponsors strategy.
At the end of all our strategies and analysis, the incumbent chairman, in a worst-case scenario, shall pull 200 out of the 397 votes, translating to 50.4 % to win. This can go up.
*Reasons for his impending victory on Saturday*
The delegates told us that they were outraged that the other 3 contestants couldn't settle on a sole candidate to contest with Chairman Samba.
They translated their failure to compromise for one candidate as parochial and therefore thought that the incumbent Chairman should continue.
The second reason the delegates gave to our researchers is that Chairman Samba has been doing an emotional campaign and is kneeling down to beg and weep where applicable.
He has also been telling the delegates that all papers of his houses have been used to bail party people and that his fuel stations collapsed because of his support to the party people.
The reasons for Chairman Samba and also against him, as well as the reasons for and against the other contestants, are all in our possession.
The Voiceless Media Resesech Group has not decided to put it out at this time.
What we can report authoritatively is that the incumbent chairman, chairman Baantima Adam Samba, is on his way to a third term victory.
