Dear Bitter People, God Chooses Leaders Not Human Beings By Alhaji Salifu Hadara

In this life we live, simple understanding that what God destined for you surely comes to reality, saves you some bitterness and makes you accept reality of life. In every contest in life, be prepared for disappointment and save your mental health. The dangerous and bitter people do not understand this and they continue to suffer because no one fights against the Will of God and succeeds.
What we are faced with now are bitter people with the mentality that the boat must sink so far as they are not those steering it. This makes them exhibit bitterness openly without any shame.
This is the current situation in the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Unfortunately, since 2007 internal elections of the NPP, God has been testing NPP with some flag bearer aspirants with deep entitlement mentality that after every election, they either attempt to resign, resign or threaten to spill beans.
After the 2007 flag bearership election of the party, Hon Alan Kyerematen tendered his resignation letter to the party and it was rejected and steps were made to convince him to rescind his decision. Unfortunately, this same mentality followed him to the 2023 NPP presidential primary, where he could not even place second in the preliminary presidential primary and that led to his unpopular decision to finally resign from the NPP and contest the 2024 Presidential election as an Independent candidate. Ghanaians showed him his smoothness level in that contest.
Fast forwarding, NPP has been tested with another showdown candidate with the same mentality as Hon. Alan Kyerematen - if I am not leading the party, then the party must collapse. There is adage in Mampruli that 'if you say your colleague would not reach ten (10), then you cannot also reach nine (9)'. In short, no nine, no ten. It means that one has to support whomever leads you to succeed for him to stand a chance of succeeding the leader. Do not let bitterness influence your decision.
Today, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is on the path of threats - promising to spill beans to destroy a party he was seeking to lead just early this year. Right thinking members of the party have every right to ask questions like 'would Hon. Kennedy Agyapong behave the way he is behaving if he were the flag bearer of the party?'
The party is bigger than individuals and their interests. Respecting the decision of delegates amounts to respecting the Will of God. Politicians must learn from dangerous moves by others that never helped them and must also understand that fighting the Will of God amounts to fighting your own political future. In Ghana, history tells us that no one fights against his own political party and succeeds.
In conclusion, the delegates of the NPP have spoken with one voice and *H. E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia* is the flag bearer of the party. He is the one God has chosen to lead the party to victory in 2028, In Shaa Allah, and all right thinking members, supporters and sympathizers of the party must unite behind him to send the NDC to early opposition.
Thank you
