The race for NPP National Chairman is heating up. Across the regions, one name keeps coming up as the steady, tested hand the party needs: John Boadu.

After more than 30 years of service — from polling station level to National Youth Organiser, National Organiser, and General Secretary — John Boadu has officially declared his intention to contest for National Chairman ahead of the 2026 executive elections.

His message is simple and timely: The NPP cannot afford experimentation heading into 2028. We need tested leadership to win.

#### Why John Boadu Has the Edge

1. 🌱 From Grassroots to National – He Knows the Base

John Boadu grew through the ranks, building trust with foot soldiers, youth, women, elders, and executives in all 16 regions. That connection is why many see him as the candidate who can mobilize the base when it matters most.

2. 🧱 The Repairer of Broken Walls – A Proven Track Record

As General Secretary and National Organiser, he was at the center of the NPP’s historic victories. He’s delivered before. He’s not learning on the job.

3. 🧠 Institutional Memory and Strategic Focus

He knows where the NPP is strong, where it lost ground, and what it will take to reclaim at least 60 more seats for a parliamentary majority. For him, victory in 2028 is strategy and constituency-level work, not slogans.

4. 🤝 Strong Relations with Key Institutions

His working relationships with the Ghana Police Service, Electoral Commission, NCCE, and other parties are critical for peaceful elections and protecting the vote.

The Mission Ahead

- Protect the 87 seats and reclaim lost constituencies

- Set up a permanent committee to strengthen MPs through research and resource mobilization

- Reconnect the party with youth, women, business, media, and the middle class

- Restore discipline, unity, and purpose across all party structures

John Boadu began his campaign by seeking the blessings of the Effutu Akwa Traditional Authority in Assin Fosu — a signal that before going national, he goes back to the roots.

For many in the party, he represents what the NPP needs now: experience, unity, and tested leadership.

Delegates, let’s choose experience over experimentation. John Boadu for Chairman.
