Urgent Call for Action on Misuse of Your Name and Non-Compliance with Party Guidelines
From: Musah Saibu

To: The General Secretary (NPP)
Dear Sir,
I write to you with utmost respect and a deep sense of concern regarding troubling developments within our beloved party at the grassroots level.
First, let me acknowledge the ongoing efforts by party leadership to rebuild unity and strengthen internal cohesion after the last presidential primaries. These efforts are commendable and necessary as we position ourselves strategically for victory in 2028.
However, while unity is being pursued at the top, some elements within the party structure appear to be actively undermining these efforts at the base.
It has come to our attention that certain national and regional executives are invoking your name to justify the removal of party members from the register—simply because those members did not support particular interests during the primaries. This practice is not only unjust but also dangerously divisive.
Even more concerning is the growing perception that your directives and laid-down guidelines for the compilation of the party register are not being followed in some constituencies. This raises serious questions about discipline, accountability, and respect for central authority within the party.
We have experienced similar actions in the past, and the consequences were clear: widespread dissatisfaction among grassroots members, leading to disengagement and ultimately affecting the party’s electoral performance. It would be a costly strategic error to repeat such mistakes.
Tamale North is currently facing this issue, where the selective compilation of the register is creating tension and disaffection among committed party members. According to the constituency chairman, the matter has already been escalated to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is a figure known for his firm stance on such concerns.
Sir, this situation demands urgent and decisive intervention.
We respectfully call on your office to:
- Investigate these allegations thoroughly
Publicly caution all party executives against the misuse of your name for divisive purposes
Ensure strict adherence to your directives and guidelines across all constituencies
- Guarantee fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness in the compilation of the party register
The strength of our party lies in its unity and the confidence of its grassroots supporters. Any action that erodes this foundation is not just a misstep—it is a direct threat to our collective future.
We remain committed to the ideals of the party and confident that your leadership will address this matter with the urgency and firmness it deserves.
Thank you for your attention.
Yours faithfully,
Musah Saibu
