I am delighted to announce that a couple of weeks ago I successfully completed the Rising Public Leaders Programme at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. It was an honour to have been part of such a prestigious programme, and I found the experience to be truly transformative.

Throughout the programme, I was exposed to a diverse range of modules that were both intellectually stimulating and practically applicable. The modules covered a wide range of topics, including integrity in public life, crafting effective narratives, governing in times of challenge and change, internet governance, strengthening public organisations, pitfalls in decision-making and cultures of respect. I found the module on integrity in public life to be particularly enjoyable, as it provided me with valuable insights into how to maintain a high level of ethical standards in public service.

One of the highlights of the programme was the opportunity to interact with Lord Simon Woolley of the House of Lords. His story was incredibly inspiring, and it has motivated me to continue to make a positive impact in my work. However, the best part of the programme was undoubtedly the cohort. I had the privilege of meeting 24 exceptional rising leaders from around the world, including politicians, civil servants, and officials from international organisations (AU, UN and EU). The connections that I made with my course mates are invaluable, and I am confident that they will last a lifetime.

The programme also provided me with a unique cultural experience, with dinners at Wadham College, the House of Lords, and the graduation dinner at Balliol College. These events allowed me to network with other professionals in the field and exchange ideas on how to improve public service delivery.

Since completing the programme, I have already started applying some of the things I learned in my work, and I am confident that the skills and knowledge that I have gained will help me to be a more effective public leader. I am grateful to the Blavatnik School of Government and the University of Oxford for providing me with this life-changing opportunity. I am excited to see where this leadership journey will take me.
