The writer coined the term as a holistic concept to define Ghana's Educational Reforms initiated by Dr. Adutwum - the Honorable Minister of Education. The credit as well goes to NPP government.

Today the challenges of yesterday's education system have seen massive transformation.

School Drop-out is usually explained to mean:

¶ Those who could not passed the Basic and or Secondary levels of Education.

¶ Those who could not get placement by the Computerized School Selection Placement System (CSSPS)

¶ Those who could not afford enrollment cost because of financial constraints

¶ Those parents who use their kids in child labor to support family's daily upkeep

¶ Those who do not get employment due to lack of job opportunities or because they didn't pursue employable related programmes.

Infact the list above is not exhausted until it is looked at from all the cut off levels of the educational structure.

*The journey to one's future starts with Education & Training, where the prepared learner is the achiever at the end of the race, though the beneficiaries to it includes their families and the nation as a whole.*

*The reforms root its success fundamentally from free education at the Basic Schools (FCube) and Free SHS and now Free TVET and STEM introduction.*

Those Drop-out excuses is now a thing of the past.

✓ The success rate of examinable subjects have improved due to teachers commitment, teaching aids, infrastructural development and students motivation factors such as stress free mind of learning among others.

✓ Computerized placement system has been allowed to do its posting without human interference and by giving many optional schools selection choice, almost everyone gets a school after the BECE

✓ Rebranding of our Technical & Vocational Education Training (TVET) has also attracted high percentage of students intake who for misconception looked down to technical and vocational training.

✓ The introduction and diversification of options with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Schools and centres have given a face-lift to it as well.

✓ The quality of education at Senior High School has also improved, infrastructure expansion and decentralization of new schools locations at various regions has helped reached out to all.

Last year 2023 the Ministry of Education and GES recorded 60% candidates success with grades ranging from A1 to C6 at WASSCE that qualified them into Tertiary Schools in the Country.

We are getting there gradually and we should applaud the NPP government and the brainner behind - Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum.
