Four  persons have picked up nomination forms to contest the NPP Parliamentary Primaries in the Walewale Constituency of the North East region. 

The four are :  

1. Hajia Lariba Abudu Zuwera-  Teacher, MP, and Minister. 

2. Mahama Tiah Abdul- Kabiru ( PhD)- Economist and Researcher. 

3.  Jangdow Mahama- A Civil Servant 

4.  Tahiru Shaman popularly called Veron. A Businessman. 

The Walewale  Parliamentary primaries is said to be a direct contest between Dr Mahama Tiah Kabiru and Hajia Lariba Abudu.
