Yesterday, 47 mothers and babies heaved a sigh of relief when their medical bills which amounted to GHC100,000 were paid to enable them to go home after their discharge.

The joy and happiness on their faces were palpable enough to indicate the value of the gesture they received from the philanthropist whose generosity guaranteed their freedom.

This philanthropist is no other than the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Justin Kodua-Frimpong. It was his 41st birthday and in accordance with his personal practice of celebrating his birthdays in orphanages or hospitals, he decided to come to the aid of nursing mothers and sick children in the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Some of the nursing mothers could not but shed tears of joy for the unexpected donation of Mr. Justin Kodua-Frimpong that relieved them of their major financial burdens. They thanked him for his kind gesture and prayed for God to bless him.

The beneficiaries were mainly from the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, NICU, PICU, Surgical, and Orthopaedics & Accident Departments. https://i.imgur.com/X9qjaIB.jpg
