Respectfully, I thought Hon. Kennedy Agyapong would have revised his modus operandi when it comes to his campaign but it appears he is poised to "rock the boat" of the party since the grounds are not fertile for him.

As someone of his stature who has contributed his quota towards the Party's activities, he would have conducted himself with decorum towards the November 4 Presidential Primaries. However, he finds delight in spreading rumors, labeling allegations against certain key personalities, and threats to delegates.

Indeed, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia continues to preach unity and peaceful coexistence as the contest is a family affair. Therefore he advised his followers and those at the helm of affairs of his campaign to desist from personal attacks and any form of act that may cause dissatisfaction among the rank and file of the Party.

Unfortunately, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong continues to portray himself as the only saint in the party and labeled mere allegations against the elections committee, key personalities, and some delegates across the length and breadth of the country.

He started by using the platform of Radio and TV, moved to the platform of the showdown walk organized by his sympathizers to call out some bigwigs of the Party, and chastised them as if he was the only saint in the party.

Fast forward, why should a presidential aspirant who brags of having superior policies engage in mere allegations and threats to delegates? Why should a presidential aspirant who appears to have all the solutions for the teeming youth of the Party engage in insults and maligning of personalities?

Truly, any Presidential aspirant who succeeds President Nana Addo can't campaign in the next general elections without falling on some of the achievements and successes chalked by him. The achievements of the current administration will serve as the stepping stone for any candidate who emerges as the successor to President Nana Addo.

Quite unfortunately, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong's demeanor and posture appeared to depart from this simple fact which any serious-minded person knows that our next campaign will largely depend on the success of the current administration under the leadership of President Nana Addo. Why is Hon. Ken departing from this simple analogy? Is he naive to this obvious reality?

Since the President of the Republic has admitted to the struggle the country is going through irrespective of the number of intervention policies initiated to alleviate the suffering of the masses. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong himself alluded to the fact on TV by citing the global economic challenges the world is facing and Ghana is not an exception.

Ironically, the man who also admitted to the challenges faced by the country is now in reverse gear to lambast and chastise the administration as if he is not involved. Why such a U-turn from Hon Kennedy Agyapong? Is it to deceive delegates? Your guess is as good as mine.

It's of useful importance for our respected delegates to know that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is part and parcel of this current administration and he can't abdicate or wash his hands off the challenges faced to behave as if he is the only man who cares and has superior policies.

With all due respect, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is an appointee of President Nana Addo who serves as Board Chairman of Ghana Gas and we are also told his wife is also a Board Chairman of Ghana Shippers Authority. These are key Government agencies under which they are appointed to serve the Nation.

In addition, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is neck deep in some of the Government's decision making and he can't smartly run away from the Government when things appear to be in the downturn. He can't present himself as if he is the only one who knows the struggles of the masses especially the grassroots of the Party.

In another development, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong during his tour of the Northern Region precisely Sagnarigu Constituency accused the Regional Chairmen and the Constituency executives of receiving some amount of money plus pickup and Prado before the super delegates conference held on August 26.

This allegation didn't go down well with the Constituency Chairman of the Party which led to some confrontations and a small showdown at the venue for the meeting. Why is Hon. Ken engaged in such baseless accusations?

To conclude, it's high time for Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to think about the prospects of the Party and desist from such divisive tactics to court the attention of delegates and campaign based on what he has in stock for the party. The party is bigger than any individual.

Shalom!

Long live NPP
Long live the Elephant fraternity
