The member of parliament for Nandom constituency, Hon Ambrose Dery has indicated he has absolute trust in H.E Dr Mahamudu Bawumia when he welcomed the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in his constituency as he connects with delegates in the Upper West Region ahead of the Party Presidential Primaries.

The Vice President is currently on a campaign tour in the region to solicit votes from delegates as the party prepares for the November 4th, 2023 presidential primaries. This is the last phase of the Party Presidential Primaries after his landslide victory at the super delegates congress in August.

Nandom was electrified with an explosive turnout signaling a fully connected constituency to the it is possible signal. Thousands came out to welcome the Vice President as he engages delegates and outline his policies for the party.

Dr Bawumia in his message to delegates touted his experience in Presidential elections as the surest bet to breaking the 8 for the party. He explains that he is the most marketed candidate among all the 3 others contesting in the primaries and he knows how to win the presidential elections for the party in 2024. That aside, his candidature will dismantle the NDC propaganda in the Zongo, Northern and Volta regions. The tribal and religious bigotry paraded by the NDC against the party even though there are no facts to support same will fall in water.

In his response to the NDC propaganda against the Party, the Vice President makes a strong case about the party's national character as he references the party's historical antecedents. He said the United Party was an amalgamation of different social groupings across the country: National Liberation Movement, Northern People’s Party, Togoland congress Muslim Association Party, Anlo Youth Congress etc. He makes the point that the NPP since its formation has never been a tribal party. In addition, he underscores that, Voting pattern in the party has never been on tribal lines . He refers to the support the north gave to Prof Busia even though they held the majority seats. J.A Kufour against Alhaji Malik Yakubu Alhassan. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo against Aliu Mahama . In similar analysis, he highlighted that Ashanti region supported Adu Boahen from the Eastern region against J. A Kufour from Ashanti region just like how the Ashanti region supported Akuffo Addo from Eastern region against Alan Kyeremateng. Clearly, the analysis shows the party has always voted for a candidate who is competent and can deliver the elections for the party

In his Policies, he listed the even distribution of appointments across the constituency when he becomes President, ensuring that there is a serious database to cater for the welfare of constituencies and a mentorship drive.

The Member of Parliament for Nandom, Ambrose Dery (MP) n his remarks intimated his trust in the leadership of Dr Bawumia.
