As the New Patriotic Party prepares to elect a successor to the President, Nana Akufo Addo about twelve (12) people have so far picked nomination forms to contest to lead the party to break the 8 for the party. Among those who have picked nomination form are the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Hon. Alan Kwadwo kyeremanten, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Hon. Akoto Afriyie, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, Kwabena Agyapong.

Monitoring the campaign of these Presidential hopefuls, I have observed with disappointments a very worrying and unfortunate situation that i will like to draw the  delegates attention to.

First of all I would like to ask, why is it that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the only candidate who is always heard and seen trumpeting the achievements of the government.? it has now become obviously clear that almost all the other candidates are not interested in talking about the many projects of the government ie. Agenda 111 , roads project, the massive achievements in the education sector, the success story in the area of digitisation ie. Medical drone delivery service, paperless port, Mobile Money interoperability, Digital Property Addressing System etc to mention a few. Most of them have sadly become the annex of the NDC's propaganda machine. All they do is to sell the propaganda of the NDC instead of talking about the gains of the government and the party.

Why are the other candidates not interested in defending and projecting the  achievements of the party and government but are so much bent on making mockery of the achievements of the government expercially those achievements which were led by the Vice President. 

Again, why are the other candidates behaving as if they can contest and win on their personal achievements in the unlikely event they win to lead the party. 

Why are they so much interested in tarnishing the image of the Vice President?

How are those candidates going to campaign to win the Mandate of Ghanaians if they do not believe the Akufo Addo government has done enough. 

Dr. Bawumia seems to be the only candidate among the lot who has confidence voice in talking about the achievements of the government and he does that with so much Joy and delight. Even when the other candidates are distancing themselves from the Akufo led government , the Vice President has taking an ambassadorial role in trumpeting the gains of the government. It is however not surprising the President described him as his source of Light during  his darkest moment. 

Contrary to our internal naysayers who claim the party will struggle to craft winnable message for 2024 elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says it is possible if we can project the achievements of the government because he believes the government has done a lot.
