When Dr Bawumia was in the court room taking bullets for the NPP, Alan Kyerematen was actively working as a Trade Advisor at the UN Economic Commission in Africa at Addis Ababa.

When Alan Kyerematen was exposed for not attending court proceedings or providing other form of support to the election petition, he said no one invited or asked him to do so. Do you remember his clash with Boakye Agyarko on this matter, where he was exposed further? Should a loyal member be invited to support his party during difficult times?

Strangely, with his usual disloyalty to the party, while the entire NPP took a stance  against John Mahama's govt by not recognising it while in court to restore the stolen verdict, Alan Kyerematen because of self interest duly recognised the legitimacy of John Mahamas government.

Alan Kyerematen was frequently visiting John Mahama at the Flag Staff House to lobby for the World Trade Organization Boss job which was vacant then. Through this, John Mahama nominated Alan Kyerematen for the post of WTO Director - General. Unfortunately, Alan was not even shortlisted for the final selection process.
