Greetings here,

I had a very humbling experience at the University of Mines and Technology few days ago.

This will be inspirational.

A student I taught at the Zogbeli J.S.S. A in Tamale  in 1993 was to deliver his inaugural lecture  on attaining the rank of full professor in Geomantic Engineering and insisted that I attend.

I had not seen this student for the past 30 years.  We do chat on whatapp and other platforms though.

He said I made positive impact on his life and he has never forgotten of  me and wanted me at his historic Inaugural lecture.

He reminded me every day for a month. So I was there yesterday for it. I couldn't have failed him.

I had a standing ovation from all who attended the program along side another favourite teacher of his at Tamasco.

Lesson

Let's show Commitment and dedication in all we do. Let's be honest and truthful and if we must do good at all we shouldn't delay in doing it.

The students we teach today keep a lot of things about us in mind and my Tarkwa experience is just one example.

My experience at UMaT was humbling.

Professor Bernard Kumi- Boateng kept me in mind as one of  his favourite teachers for 30 years.

I am sure he would equally kept me in mind for all the bad reasons for 30 years if any.

I was treated like a King and accommodated at one of the best hotels in Tarkwa with a directive  to be given any food and drink  of my choice. t was humbling.

Teachers will agree with me that we like it when our students are doing well.

I was honoured to have been noticed by a student who was taught by many teachers in his educational  journey.

I wish us best.
