The leadership of the New Patriotic Party in the North East Region have noted with concern the activities of some members of the party who are seeking to contest in the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries particularly in the four (4) constituencies that the NPP has sitting MPs in the Region. 

We wish to, by this statement, caution all such individuals to immediately desist from all forms of campaign activities including holding meetings with polling station and constituency executives until nominations are opened. 

The affected persons are reminded that the party’s Code of Conduct issued by the National Council banning early campaigns ahead of the official opening of nominations, is still in full force. 

Failure to abide by the party’s rules and regulations constitutes misconduct and shall attract the necessary sanctions in line with the party’s disciplinary procedures. 

Caution is served accordingly.
