To start with I will quote 

 Dr. Etse Sikanku is a senior Lecture at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Director for the Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Development. He gave an honest account of the role of  “Dr. Bawumia as compared to the past Vice President. In his own words, he stated that *“But for all that it is worth, Dr. Bawumia has succeeded in transforming the Vice Presidency from one of docility to activism, symbolic representation to policy implementation, and from mysticism to realism.* *When the history of democratic politics is written in Ghana, Dr. Bawumia will occupy a special place because of the courage, unorthodoxy, and aggression that he brought to the position. Time and again, he has been at the receiving end of jokes and criticism due to his overwhelming focus on digitization, but he has remained resolute and unwavering in his digital ambitions for Ghana. His political beliefs are rooted in pragmatism, realism, and the idea that to seize the moment in a fast-moving world, this country needs to embrace digital know-how to improve the economy and better the lives of citizens. Bawumia’s approach is therefore data-driven and action-oriented with an eye on innovation and reformation.”*

The above statement about Dr. Bawumia is 100% accurate and the records are there to prove it. Before Dr. Bawumia, the office of the Vice President was virtually a quiet and suppressed entity with no clear-cut legal mandate apart from sitting in as the President anytime the President is out of the jurisdiction. As precedence, there has not been a time in this country where a sitting President has ever been out of the jurisdiction for a month. The office of the Vice President in the past has always been suppressed and seen as a controlled entity that has in the past affected the quality and competence 

of previous occupants.

The office of the Vice President before Dr. Bawumia was perceived to be a position for docile people and timid economists we can talk of  John Mahama, the late Former Vice President, Paa Kwasi Amissah, and Late Former President John Even Atta Mills.  Dr. Bawumia so far has defeated that perception. There has not been a single week that Dr. Bawumia has not been in the news. He has always been criticized unfairly, in fact, Dr. Bawumia has unfairly been treated like the President though he isn't he is always receiving all the blames for the government not because the past Vice President has done more than he is doing but because he has made the Office of the Vice President an attractive one and has raised public expectations of the office because of his performance *Dr. Bawumia since 2017 has occupied about 70% to 80% of  political discussions in the country*  

It is not surprising most of the neutral voices in the country are endorsing him to lead the NPP party and consequently the President of this country.

It is important to note that, even though Former President Mahama as Vice President was on record to have said that he had been a lucky Vice President in the sense that former President Mills of blessed memory allowed him to operate as the President he is yet to tell Ghanaians a social intervention Policy he led as Vice President and as a President. On the other hand, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has spearheaded dozen of Social interventions and other innovative Policies as a Vice President. His role in the implementation of the Medical drone delivery service and the Gold for Oil initiative makes him an extraordinary Vice President of the 4th republic.

Dr. Bawumia as it stands can run an effective campaign solely on policies and initiatives he has led and won against Former President Mahama as Vice and former President. 

On the party front, Dr. Bawumia has been the voice of government projects and initiatives more than all the other candidates contesting to lead the party in 2024. He has projected and sold government projects, programs, and initiatives more than all the other candidates seeking to contest to lead the party. Dr. Bawumia has been a first-class Communication officer of the party.  Dr. Bawumia has since 2017 been the target of the opposition NDC's campaign strategy.

Among the candidates seeking to lead the New Patriotic Party, it is only Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can campaign on his strength and achievements to win against Former President Mahama and the NDC in this regard, I entreat delegates to vote massively for him to lead us to vice.
